What is the SABA way? It is exploring and adventure and kindness and learning without even knowing it is happening. The staff at STEM and Branch Academy dedicate their lives to curiosity, fun, and gratitude. With a can-do attitude, students will feel supported as they gain confidence through the learning process.

Miss Jen

Miss Jen likes causing educational trouble any way she can. With no two lessons ever the same, she provides STEM and Branch students with memories rather than just lessons. A certified STEM, Environmental and Nature-based Educator, Miss Jen focuses on teaching the Whole Child with an emphasis on Social-Emotional Learning. Each student is healthy, safe, supported, challenged and engaged in the learning process, while also learning self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision making, social awareness, and relationship skills. Her wish is to help all friends discover their best self each and every day!

Mrs. Cyndi

Mrs. Cyndi approaches everyday with a sense of wonder and an excitement for life. Never one to stop learning, she enjoys everything about the learning process. A certified Nature-based Educator, Mrs. Cyndi has been instructing in outdoor education for the past five years, including at Discovery Wilderness School, the SABA sister school. She loves trying new projects and her zest for life makes her and excellent cheerleader for all SABA students!

Mr. Brian

Mr. Brian returns to outdoor education after a stint at ‘real-life’ living. Dedicated to the fabulous art of helping people, Mr. Brian is a problem-solver and handy guy to have around, especially when working with our Leadership Kids Program. His work on the Trash-to-Putts Mini-Golf, the Spooky Walk, and the Mission to Moon is unparalleled.

Interns

The STEM and Branch Leadership Kids (Ethan, Maria, Judson, Harlee, Michaela, Mason, Ilah) have spent pandemic life learning what it takes to be a leader: hard-work, cooperation, dedication, communication, patience, strength, and lots of Skittles. They help out with STEM and Branch class with one-on-one, small group and large group instruction. They also have their own camp to be sole intern at during the summer. Not only that but they have created their own educational journey by raising over $1500 in a stewardship at Howard Christensen Nature Center by planning, creating and running Trash-to-Putts Mini-Golf, Spooky Walk, Leprechaun Gold Hunt, and Earth Day at Ensley events; along with creating their own ‘Lunar Base” in the woods for their Mission to Moon through Vivify STEM , adventure.
